I have been the pastor at Clawson UMC since 2001. Before that, I served United Methodist churches in Redford Township, Utica, Burton (a suburb of Flint), and Millington (in the Thumb area).  Claudia and I will be married 30 years this summer. We have 3 sons: Josh and his wife Jen who live in the Grand Rapids area; Scott and his wife Lacie, who go to school in Lansing; and Jason, and his fiancé Lisa. Jason and Lisa will be getting married this June, 2008. For relaxation, I love to play golf in the spring through the fall (although I never seem to get out as much as I would like!). I also enjoy working on our vacation home at Canadian Lakes resort in central Michigan, and taking walks in the woods with Claudia!

Phil Paonessa is Clawson’s Praise Team Coordinator and co-leader of the Worship Arts Ministry.  Phil is also an ordained minister with the International Ministerial Fellowship, a freelance writer for the Macomb Daily, and is employed full-time in the automotive industry. Phil and his wife, Diane—also a member of the Clawson Worship Team—have been married for 32 years and they have three children.  Their daughter, Rachel, is 31, and lives in Howell, MI with her husband, Matt, and their four year old daughter, Kaelyn.  Their oldest son, 25 year old Ryan, and his wife, Kassondra, live in Warren, and their youngest son, Andy, is 22, and lives with Phil and Diane at their home in Warren.

Greetings in Christ! I am Co-Director of Worship Arts at Clawson UMC. I work directly  with Phil to design, administer, rehearse and lead worship.  We are privileged to work with a wonderful team of musicians!  Together, Phil, Tom and I work to bring ideas and music together to invite a flow of the Holy Spirit into the hearts of worshippers. This is our greatest privilege of all!
I have been married to my best friend, Tom, for 30 years! The life we share has led us all over Michigan. We have three wonderful sons, who are grown and married now, but still one of the greatest joys of our lives!
I have also been blessed to work as an elementary music teacher in the Southfield Schools. I enjoy seeing children         (and people of ALL ages) discover the gifts of music that God has given them.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                       I have been the Administrative Secretary for thew Clawson UMC for 7 years. Over these years I have made so many wonderful friends, some of whom have become like family to me. CUMC is a very warm, loving, and friendly church, and I am very blessed to be a part of such a wonderful staff.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Our names are Randy and Laura Ferguson, we are the care takers for Clawson United Methodist Church. We have held the position for about 26 years. Randy and I have lived in Clawson since our families moved here in 1968 and 1969 as children. We met in high school and were married in September 1977.  Our 3 children, Jason, Jeremy and Jennifer are Clawson graduates also. As of December 24, 2007, we are first time Grandparents, and looking forward to more grand babies.
