April Worship Theme:

“What’s Your View of God In Prayer?”

April 6th: (Holy Communion). “From Fear of Shame To A Friend of Fame!”
Ephesians 2:6, I John 4:17-18
For many people, fear of shame in their lives keeps them from coming to God in prayer. Even “religious” prayers often come out of a sense of guilt. But in our new relationship through Christ, we also gain a new identity based on what Jesus has done, not on our track record.

April13th: “God Really IS Good, All The Time!”                                                    Matthew 7: 7-11                                                       Why do bad things happen to good people, and where is God when this happens? We will look at 4 misconceptions people have about God & bad circumstances in our lives. Then we will investigate what the Bible says about God’s desires for us in the hard times of life, and how we can begin to pray in those situations.

April    20th: “Learning To Be Co-Dependent”
Psalm 139: 1-10
Many people are co-dependent, needing other people to make their lives meaningful. That can lead to unhealthy relationships among people. But God designed us to be co-dependent on him, to be one with him and to live our lives out of his purposes for us. Prayer helps us to “touch base” with God on a regular basis, helping us to live the full life that God desires for us.

April 27th: “Let’s Get Real!”
Genesis 12: 10-20
God wants us to be just who we are when we come to him in prayer. Children have a unique way of coming to God in humility and openness that many adults have forgotten. We will look at some major leaders in the Bible and see how their humanness leads them to be honest with God and bare their heart to him in prayer and confession.
